Unique Painting Party Event

Honoring Photographer, Linda Scalise Schamberger

Splash Mob Painting Parties of Rochester, NY announces a special event to honor Webster, NY photographer, Linda Scalise Schamberger. The community is coming together to paint one of her most popular recent works. The painting event will be held at Webster Golf Club on Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 3 to 6 p.m. Schamberger will also bring what she considers are her personal favorite photographs taken in years.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Linda in person, socialize, then participate in a group painting class geared towards non-artists. Music and snacks will be provided. Gloria
Kreitzberg, the owner of Splash Mob Painting Parties, will be teaching the class. Participants will take home a 16” x 20” acrylic-on-canvas painting that expresses their own personality.

Her interest in photography began as an avid bird watcher. While photographing birds, she was found she was drawn to the beautiful sunrises and sunsets as well. After several years of learning photography from books and practicing in the field on a DSLR camera, she decided to take her passion one step further and began studying alongside a famous local photographer, James Montanus. After only one year, Montanus showed Linda’s work at his art gallery. “It was an amazing experience meeting so many people that came to see my work,” Schamberger said.

She then became interested in night photography. “It’s one of my favorite captures in photography—the milky way, star trail, Northern
Lights, moonrise, and moonset—I love it all,” said Schamberger. “I then had the desire to be a well-rounded photographer and began capturing the innocence of my young grandchildren, which threw me in the direction of portraiture photography,” she added.  Linda now has added infant photography to her repertoire.

When asked why she has created this event in her honor, Gloria Kreitzberg of Splash Mob Painting Parties said, “Linda selflessly shares her photographs for hundreds of Facebook followers almost on a daily basis.” She adds, “She’s not looking for fame or compliments. Linda is very modest about her growing popularity. She just wants to brighten everyone’s day with her photos.”

The event will be offered at the discounted rate of $40 per person, (normally $65 for a 3-hour painting class), which includes all supplies. A cash bar will also be open during the event. Guests will need to pre-register online at no later than February 23, 2017.

Linda’s closing words, “I am as excited about photography today as I was my very first day—in fact, probably more so now.”
