The cost of a private event may vary. The length of the party also affects the cost, as does the number of guests, and the subject matter of the painting. Some paintings will take 2 hours, and more complex paintings will take 3 hours. A choice of 3 paintings will be provided for selection, and the host can decide which painting their party guests will create.

Here's a cost range for our average private events.

$35/person for a 2-Hour Event

$40-$45/person for a 2 1/2 to 3-Hour Event

Possible Additional Costs

  • Some special themed paint night parties can include themed-related favors or props, which will be reflected in the cost of the event.

  • The type of venue that you select may require additional lighting, tables and/or chairs, which will add to the cost of your party if the venue cannot provide them for you.

  • The venue may require a fee per person or per hour, which will be added to the cost of the painting class.

$50.00 deposit is required for all private parties. If your party is not cancelled, this deposit will be applied  to the total cost of your party, with the remainder to be paid prior to the beginning of the event.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you book a party 3 weeks before the party date and you need to cancel, your deposit will not be refunded. If you book your party 3 weeks prior to your party date, you may receive a refund, as long as you cancel at least 3 days before the party date.  Canceling your party before 3 days of your party date will result in loss of your deposit.

  •  DO arrive 10 minutes early (15 minutes is better). Late arrivals will need to catch up to the class at the current stage of the painting process.

  • Bring comfortable clothes that you do not care if unwashable paint gets on them. Sorry, even Tide won't get acrylic paint out of your t-shirt.

  • Wear comfortable shoes, because there just may be some foot action when the music takes over.

  • Food and beverage choices is totally up to the party host and will depend on the rules and stipulations of the venue where your event will be held.

  • Come with an OPEN MIND, a willingness to let go and have some fun, and a non-judgemental mindset about you or anyone else's artistic (or dancing) abilities. Be creative, be happy, and be kind.

More Information

  • Minimum Guests:  The minimum number of guests needed to book a private painting party is 10 (the venue must be able to accommodate 10 people comfortably with tables and chairs). Parties with over 20 guests need to be booked at least 3 weeks prior to the desired party date.

  • Cancellation by Splash MOB:  In the event of a snow storm, emergency, or if your MOB Boss becomes ill, Splash MOB reserves the right to cancel classes 24 hours prior to the event. A full refund or credit towards another event will be issued.

  • Late Arrivals:  If someone arrives a few minutes late, they are responsible for making up the time and will need to catch up with the rest of the class on their own (wing it). If a guest arrives more than 15 minutes late, they may be asked to not participate in the class, and their tuition may not be refunded (depending on the situation and the reason for being late).

Gloria's Splash Mob painting parties are such a blast. Having taken painting classes at a variety of venues, with many different styles of instructors, I must say this is the most fun and encouraging learning environment to paint in. From the snacks and drinks to the music and conversation ; you are having fun while learning and you end up creating something beautiful. I would highly recommend these classes for anyone who wants to learn more than you would at a "paint night" with a reputable instructor.... but also still have a blast. Thank you Gloria DeJohn Kreitzberg!           Catie Peck
